For the first time, and hopefully not the last, I received my first photo credit in the New York Times last Sunday. Congrats to Mia and Andy!

GoKidGo
GoKidGo is a blog documenting the Philadelphia indie music scene in the ’90′s. It focuses primarily on the projects that the author, Brian Sokel, was a part of, in addition to the circle of bands and friends that encompassed that scene. Brian was a member of numerous bands, most notably Franklin and AM/FM. He recently came across my old, scanned photos from that particular time on Flickr, which included this shot of Franklin’s lead singer Ralph Darden, and featured it on the website. Big thanks to Brian for spreading the word… or in this case, the image.
It’s an Analogue World
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve dealt with actual film cameras, but during the holidays, I returned to the analogue world. First, I tackled a project that has been sitting idly by since LAST Christmas, when I received this pinhole camera book/kit from my wife. Within the same week, I was given this Oktomat Lomography camera kit by my cousin-in-law. So just like that, I found myself carrying not only my digital camera of choice for the day, but two smaller film cameras. Today I finally got two rolls developed (one each of the Oktomat and pinhole). There was not a vast amount of beginner’s luck with the final results, but I did pull out these four images that I really enjoyed.
From the pinhole…
From the Oktomat…
So we the addition of these two cameras, and my new iPhone 4S, I will have Phillies Phantasy Camp completely covered next week on all visual fronts… digital and film.
