Royal Caribbean – Oasis of the Seas Cruise

Yes, my wife and I love to cruise. We just got back from a wonderful week aboard the first of Royal Caribbean’s two behemoth ships, the Oasis of the Seas. We last cruised with Royal Caribbean back in May of 2011, and we will most definitely be coming back as soon as possible.

Cruise to the Bahamas

My wife and I just returned from a very relaxing cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. We left the cold, gloomy February weather in New York City, traveled through beautiful and eerie sea smoke, had lunch with my in-laws in Cocoa Beach, took in the perfect weather of the Bahamas, and experienced the incredible maritime exhibition at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau.

Like our last cruise in May, I was armed with my Leica M9, but added my new iPhone 4S into the arsenal. To make it even better, I was armed with the very cool olloclip lens to add a little more ‘oomph’ to my pictures.

All my photos from this trip can be viewed here on Flickr.

It’s an Analogue World

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve dealt with actual film cameras, but during the holidays, I returned to the analogue world. First, I tackled a project that has been sitting idly by since LAST Christmas, when I received this pinhole camera book/kit from my wife. Within the same week, I was given this Oktomat Lomography camera kit by my cousin-in-law. So just like that, I found myself carrying not only my digital camera of choice for the day, but two smaller film cameras. Today I finally got two rolls developed (one each of the Oktomat and pinhole). There was not a vast amount of beginner’s luck with the final results, but I did pull out these four images that I really enjoyed.

So we the addition of these two cameras, and my new iPhone 4S, I will have Phillies Phantasy Camp completely covered next week on all visual fronts… digital and film.

First Day Of Spring… In January

The calendar read January 7, but it felt like late April. Everyone came out to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather in Central Park. Fathers played catch with sons. Shorts and t-shirts were common.

And yet, remnants of Christmas still stick around.

Life is fantastic.
