Cruise to the Bahamas
My wife and I just returned from a very relaxing cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. We left the cold, gloomy February weather in New York City, traveled through beautiful and eerie sea smoke, had lunch with my in-laws in Cocoa Beach, took in the perfect weather of the Bahamas, and experienced the incredible maritime exhibition at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau.
Like our last cruise in May, I was armed with my Leica M9, but added my new iPhone 4S into the arsenal. To make it even better, I was armed with the very cool olloclip lens to add a little more ‘oomph’ to my pictures.
All my photos from this trip can be viewed here on Flickr.

Kenny Shanker at Somethin’ Jazz Club, NYC 11/9/11
Seeing the incredible alto saxophonist Kenny Shanker is always a treat, as was the case last Wednesday night at Somethin’ Jazz Club. And, as with any jazz show I attend, I walk away rejuvenated musically, but also, realize I really need to practice more. I’m quite confident in my drumming abilities, but even I won’t risk embarrassment by sitting in with the band. Kenny, thank you again for the offer, but I’ll safely sit on the other side for now.
