2012 Phillies Phantasy Camp Reunion and Batting Practice, a set on Flickr.
You can read all about my day at the Phillies home opener on my Phantasy Camp diary.
Last night was the orientation session for the upcoming 2012 Phillies Phantasy Camp. This will be my second go round, and I am extremely excited. You can read all about it here.
In a perfect world, I would have brought my Leica with me on to the diamond at Citizens Bank Park last Thursday instead of my iPhone. Then again, I may not have been able to truly appreciate the experience. Sometimes, a camera just won’t do.
I had to make a trip down to Philadelphia for my orientation to the Phillies Phantasy Camp I’ll be attending this January. I decided to go down early, get a roast pork at DiNic’s, resist the urge to fill up my closet with more Phillies gear at Mitchell & Ness, and walk around the alleys and tiny side streets around Spruce, Pine and Lombard Streets. These little slices of colonial America are breathtaking. Add in the freshly fallen yellow leaves blanketing the cobblestone pathways… stunning.
When I arrived at Citizens Bank Park at dusk, the overcast conditions, along with the emptiness of the stadium was so beautifully unsettling.
