Big Bad Panda in the City

The other day I came across a fantastic book called Big Bad City by author and photographer Slinkachu. His Little People Project is incredibly stunning…

Yesterday, while waiting for the L train at the 6th Avenue station, I ran into this little panda bear all by his (or her) lonesome on the stairs.

This past Saturday, my wife and I caught the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets at Citifield in Queens. The weather was absolutely stunning, we had wonderful seats, and with my Phillies in the thick of the pennant chase, this was going to be a great day. Unfortunately they lost, keeping my record intact of not seeing one Phillies victory at the Mets’ new ballpark. In addition, I really didn’t get many good shots during the game, but, as is the case a lot of times, I was able to get some nice pictures at an unexpected detour. Mistakenly taking the local train, we hopped off at the Junction Boulevard stop to catch an express train. That was a mistake, as the special express trains were NOT stopping at that station. During our layover, I was able to catch the last minutes of sundown over Manhattan.
